Pork Prices Rise 33.5 pc yoy in April, But CPI Holds at 2.3 pc

The first chart is CPI, second the y/y and third m/m breakdowns. The category on the left is food and drink. Pork prices rose 3.2 percent from March and are up 33.5 percent yoy. Even with that pork increase, the CPI fell 0.2 percent month-on-month. It takes time for credit to work through the economy, but there's no sign of inflation other than in pork. Fresh vegetables were up 22.6 percent yoy in April, but down 12.5 percent month-on-month.
