Fixed Asset Investment Hits New Monthly Low, Private Investment Contracts 1.2 pc

Fixed asset investment growth fell to 3.9 percent yoy in the month of July, pulling the ytd growth rate to 8.1 percent. It sets a new low, falling below a temporary dip in December 2011.

SOEs slowed their pace of investment substantially to 14.4 percent in July, down from 24.0 percent in June.

Private fixed asset investment contracted 1.2 percent in July. Both industrial sector and service sector investment was in contraction in July.
