Conditions Ripe for Flip of U.S. House Control

The headline is a bit inaccurate as its a measure of consumer comfort, but the gap between men and women points to a flip in party control of the House of Representatives.

A measure of confidence among American men climbed to an almost 18-year high last week, widening the spread between men and women to the most since records began according to the Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index.
The two prior peaks were in November 1994 and December 2006. The former coincided with a Republican takeover of Congress and the latter with the Democrats taking back the House.
