USA In Denial Over Coronavirus, Institutional Failures Reaching Critical Mass

The U.S. was slow to introduce airport screening. When it did, it looked for symptomatic patients. They announced screening for coronavirus would begin in hospitals, but they were only asking people who traveled to China or came into contact with people from China. To this day, the CDC guidelines assume no community transmission.
The failure to secure the U.S. border, failure to identify visa holders and prevent terrorists from entering, failure to defend American jobs, failure to protect national security, failure to preserve purchasing power of workers, on and on American institutions fail in their basic fundamental duties. A crisis such as coronavirus exposes the rot that is everywhere.
