Nuremberg II: The Truth is Coming for the Ruling Class

Taibbi: Congratulations, Elitists: Liberals and Conservatives Do Have Common Interests Now
Karl’s statement was meant to be profound and bold, but it’s actually a damning admission of incompetence on the part of a press corps that spent years turning hundreds of non-Trump questions into referenda on Trump. Does hydroxychloroquine work? Is it a good idea to have Russian and American troops sitting in each other’s laps in Syria? Did Barack Obama’s FBI send “spies” into the Trump campaign?

The desperation to say “no” on the latter question just because Trump was saying “yes” led to all-time absurd headlines like, “F.B.I. Used Informant to Investigate Russia Ties to Campaign, Not to Spy, as Trump Claims.” As for Karl’s point about Covid-19, if reporters were afraid to go near an urgent science story for fear an untoward revelation might give secondary comfort to Trump, what does that say about how they might have covered a dozen other issues more directly related to the last president, from impeachment to the “insurrection” to Russiagate and beyond?

The consistent pattern with the Trump-era press, which also happens to be the subject of so many of those Greenwald stories the Beast and the Intercept employees are complaining about, is that information that is true but doesn’t cut the right way politically is now routinely either non-reported or actively misreported.

Here I made the same point Taibbi makes above:

More generally, in the Internet age most of a journalist's job is to collate publicly available information provided by subject-matter experts (expert here meaning someone who knows the subject, not a government or media appointed "expert"). There is still a need for investigative journalism, but many stories write themselves if the journalist is willing to look at source materials. Trouble is, most journalists are retarded by their ideology. They cannot see reality in front of their face because it violates the ideological programming they received in school. To question the virus in 2020 would help Trump, and for 99 percent or more of journalists, defeating Trump was their primary mission at the time. Any reality that violates their carefully constructed fragile narratives cannot be true, and thus will be buried. If you were trusting of science and media, how do you feel about ideas such as climate change? If you want to know the Truth, you have to seek it for yourself on social media or independent media and hope the accounts/outlets you follow aren't banned.
I have made the same point for many years, going all the way back to why I started blogging more frequently in the first place: because Western media was giving a false picture of China's economic situation. I was more informed on China by reading the Chinese newspaper than journalists with a network of contacts because they were mostly giving the "official" Western view. Economic reporting on China has improved in the interim and remains far more objective, relatively speaking, than domestic reporting. At this point, domestic Western media has devolved into a chimera of institutional and ideological bias. The ruling class adopted the most idiotic form of left-wing ideology, which focuses on systemic racism and thinks "white supremacy" is the biggest threat. Imagine if the right-wingers worried about heavy metal music being a front for Satanism in the 1980s took over the country and you have a good approximation for how stupid the ruling class has become. An extant example: Harry Potter novels. At least one school has banned Harry Potter because it contains witchcraft. Meanwhile, the ruling class is happy to let mobs cancel the author of the series, J.K. Rowling, because she isn't 100 percent on board with the transgender movement. The most clownish, cartoonish version of the left's idedology is in power.

While they preach a cartoonishly stupid ideology, the ruling class are also turning off their ideologoial allies because they are mixing in competent authoritarianism. On the authoritarian side they are very capable and very intelligent. They can wield the intelligence agencies, the FBI, the courts, the media, BigTech companies, payment processors and more in coordinated attacks on political enemies. While they express retarded ideas such as "men can have a vagina," while they tell people to wear masks that don't work, they are also very capable at shutting down and destroying small businesses. These two need not be a contradiction. As Theodore Dalrymple has said:

Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.
America is going to take a hard right turn or it is going to go down the tubes. Those are the two paths because the ruling class has effectively destroyed the left-wing. The right-wing began rebelling almost 20 years ago because it became disillusioned with the Iraq War and the authoritarian expansion of Medicare under Bush (arms were twisted in the House). Then, President Bush signaled he was on board with amnesty for illegal aliens after Democrats retook the House in 2006 (also a big strike against Bush's Medicare expansion since that was sold as helping Republicans secure their majority). Ron Paul immediately emerged and became a thorn in the side of the party in 2012, such that Romney (there he is again!) banned him from speaking at the convention. The Tea Party emerged in 2010 and "official" conservatism did not like it. Once Trump came on the scene and right-wing Internet communities emerged to back him, the rebellion was in full bloom. Right-wingers have as much trust in the GOP establishment as they do for the media, Democrats and weaponized institutions such as the FBI and CIA. People who speak the Truth go on Fox News, not MSNBC. But hard right doesn't mean policies like abortion or gun control so much as fundamental reform. The right is going to produce the movement that removes or reforms the ruling class, and that will affect the society, but like after FDR in the 1930s and 1940s, a new political dichotomy will emerge. Socionomics will also play a role. The swing from androgyny to the action heroes of the 1980s accompanied a shift from Carter to Reagan. Similarly, the far mroe extreme transgenderism wave is going to be replaced by something far more masculine and feminine as society reacts by strongly reinforcing biological sex differences, but there will be "left" and "right" versions of this.

Constrast what has happened on the right to that of the nominally left. A thoroughly establishment candidate won. Corporate America along with most major institutions parrot left-wing movements such as BLM, LGBTQ and transgenderism. The ruling class has handcuffed itself to leftism such that it is probably impossible to remove the ruling class without blowing up the underlying ideology. The ruling class also used psychological terror and disinformation to gaslight the public so thoroughly that many are totally lost. Only last night, I caught a local program on television with people seriously discussing the CDC's mask recommendations and saying how they trust the CDC and the science. They haven't seen Dr. Fauci's emails that clearly state the actual science, that wearing cloth masks or surgical masks to stop the SARS2 is akin to putting up a chainlink fence to stop mosquitos. If they have heard of the emails, they probably think it is a disinformation plot cooked up in Russia and spread by white supremacists.

Suffice to say, the Truth is coming for the ruling class. They have been criminally negligent in the past 18 months. State governors who implemented extended lockdowns destroyed their economies when evidence showed lockdowns didn't work. China emerged from the virus early because it lowered the reporting threshold to only count symptomatic patients. They heightened the standard on their PCR tests to filter out asymptomatic patients, but even if still testing positive, a doctor had to confirm that the patient had symptoms. Compare that to many states in the USA where PCR tests inflated the case count by as much as 10 times the actual number. (link will open a PDF)

Mask mandates were against the science. The medical community was also subverted. Why weren't covid patients given treatment? Why were they told to sit at home with no medicine, when there were several treatments available? The Covid Conspiracy: What The Hell Is Going On?

The media played the role of Goebbels, the scientific and medical community Mengele, BLM/Antifa the SS and Hitler Youth, and the ruling class the Nazi Party. No, they weren't Hitler, but their total control of the instituions, their subversion of the Truth and the trail of death and destruction in their wake has no Western parallel since World War II. It will be impossible to reform the United States without a thorough reform of all institutions, a program similar to Denazification and Decommunization in Europe. A good start would be new Nuremberg trials that put the entire American ruling class and all its institutions on trial for their complicity in the coronacon, in addition to all the other lies told in recent years. Only then can the nation return to a healthy society where people like Taibbi and Greenwald and Tucker are on opposite sides of an open debate and search for the Truth. Until that time, all people of all ideologies and all races, and all places, who believe in Truth, who believe in the scientific method, are united against a common enemy.
