“Spirited Away” and “Howl’s” are such lovely films! In case you haven’t watched many other titles from them, recommend “The Wind Rises” (though, given the source, it’s uncharacteristically sad) and “Arrietty” (especially for the soundtrack).
Spousal unit say the studio museum was worth visiting. I hope to go (if/when Japan allows “pure bloods” into their country) and maybe visit those snow monkeys.
I have a 20 or so movie Miyazaki set I picked up in China. Only downside is they are hit and miss on language, some I have to watch in Japanese with Chinese subtitles, some have English subtitles, some are dubbed. Porco Rosso was an interesting one, Pom Poko really weird as I had no idea what to expect. Castle of Cagliostro was surprisingly accurate with the economics of counterfeiting.
