Lots of great setups again. Going through my old list...

Fall Into Opex

A look at some charts that moved towards a breakdown or have broken down. Northman Trader noted that going back to May, all months except October and November saw weakness into opex. Bottoms were on the Wed before to Monday after. Given the current position of the charts, opex weakness would be the push needed for a break through support and send both the Russell 2000 and Nasdaq to their lowest levels in months.
Charts are after the jump. A lot of more that I've covered in the past few weeks are in "no man's land" without support or resistance nearby. Some are forming new h-patterns. For these, I watch the broader market. They could bottom whenever the broader market bottoms and they can collapse if the broader market slides.

Charts of All My Current Option Positions

I'm going to start off with one that I want to re-enter, SMH. Popped today, but I see about 10 percent downside to the gap. I would not short this one now if I didn't expect a resumption of selling soon.

Here are three long positions (calls). A new low on GDX will get it kicked out. ditto for AEM if it loses support.
My largest position thanks to today's return. XLY is my largest notional position. A modest drop will make it the largest again.
The rest.

First Sunday of Advent Charts Part One

I'm going through my watchlists. These are in no particular order, though each post will be in alphabetical order. These could be buy or sells based on your orientation. One thing I noticed was on charts such as EXAS that are ARKK components, a few of them bounced up above resistance but closed below. a monday morning bounce back to that resistance area followed by a failure would be a nice spot for new bearish positions. The first chart is SPY. That rising wedge looks desinted for a collapse and the cyan lines highlight a gap from way back in April.

More Short Targets

Some of these don't have great bearish setups, but if the market turns down, their vertical moves should reverse. I have been putting on bearish position on some of these, only a fraction of increasingly attractive bearish setups.
