Russia is ready for peace negotiations with Ukraine but their agenda must not include the “accession” to Russia of the previously captured territories.

This was stated by President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation during his Friday speech during the ceremony in the Kremlin where the "agreements" were signed on the so-called "inclusion" into Russia of the territories of Ukraine captured by Russian troops, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We call on the Kyiv regime to immediately stop the war, all hostilities, the war it unleashed back in 2014, and return to the negotiating table. We are ready for this. This has been said more than once. But the choice of the people in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson we will not discuss. It has been made, and Russia will not betray it," Putin said.

Chilean-American blogger Gonzalo Lira, who went missing in the Ukrainian city of Kharkov a week ago, has appeared online on Friday, revealing that he had been held by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU).

“I’m in Kharkov. I’m OK. I just want to say that I’m back online.” Lira said in short video chat with journalist Alex Christoforou on The Duran channel on YouTube.

“I was picked up by the SBU on Friday, April 15,” the blogger revealed.

Yesterday I posted: Ukranian Forces Capture Journalist. The Nazi (I do not use this word as a pejorative, they are quite literally Nazis) captured independent journalist Gonzalo Lira. Now there are unconfirmed reports/rumors of his murder.

When Belorussian authorities pulled Roman Protasevich, a blogger who had served a combat tour in the neo-Nazi Azov battalion before working for Radio Free Europe’s Belarus channel out of Prague, off an airplane in May, 2021, on charges of inciting a political opposition (roughly the equivalent of sedition), the world went crazy, accusing Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko of trampling on free speech. Protasevich is alive and well, living under house arrest while awaiting trial.

When reports emerged that Gonzo Lira, a Chilean social media “influencer” who resided in Kharkov, Ukraine, and who published online content critical of the Ukrainian government, was kidnapped, tortured, and murdered by the Kraken Unit, part of the Azov battalion affiliated with the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), the West is silent.

Free speech isn’t a one way street. To remain silent in the murder of Gonzo Lira is to be complicit in his death, and the deaths of all journalists who pursue the truth, even if it runs counter to the mainstream narrative. Critical thinking should not be a death sentence. Unfortunately for Gonzo Lira, it seems it was.

But Gonzo said any disappearance of more than 12 hours should be treated as if something bad had happened to him. It’s been five days. But with Gonzo—silence. Which was the whole purpose of the post: to raise awareness about his disappearance.

This is what The Daily Beast wrote about Lira: How a Sleazy American Dating Coach Became a Pro-Putin Shill in Ukraine. We know who that media outlet serves, it's right in their name. We also know who Zelensky, the Baizuo ruling class in the West and the Azov battalion serve. 

I do not know that Putin serves the same master, at least there is no clear evidence yet. Stalin was considered a good guy in WWII, but new evidence shows he might have initiated the war with Germany. He was the aggressor seeking westward expansion, who manipulated Hitler into initiating conflict. Maybe Putin is playing a similarly deep game against the West. It's possible because the Baizuo were so openly anti-Russia and instigating troubles in Ukraine that they make the perfect patsies. As with Hitler and WWII, maybe there are no good guys on either side, with the only innocents being the civilians caught in the crossfire. 

At this point it doesn't matter though. An American journalist is missing. Where is he? What are Western governments doing to find him?

MSN: Oil could jump to $185 a barrel if the EU agrees to an immediate ban of Russian crude exports, says JPMorgan

A full and immediate embargo would displace 4 million barrels per day of Russian oil, sending Brent crude to $185 a barrel as such a ban would leave "neither room nor time to re-route [supplies] to China, India, or other potential substitute buyers," the investment bank said in a note. That would mark a 63% surge from Brent's close of $113.16 on Monday.

...The EU is weighing a ban as a consequence of Russia's invasion of Ukraine in late February. But if the bloc were to put in place an embargo over a four-month period, prices are unlikely to rise much higher than current levels, the bank said. Such a time period would be similar to Europe's ban on coal imports.

"In a slower phase-out," the bank said, "Russia would have more time to adjust its oil flows toward friendlier buyers and global ex-OPEC+ supply growth would have time to grow sufficiently to fill at least some of the Russia-sized hole in global oil supply."

An embargo will have about four months impact, but wreck the European economy in the short-term. The biggest casualty will be the euro with the Fed simultaneously ramping up QT over the next three months.

Bucha False Flag

Press Briefing by Permanent Representative Vassily Nebenzia on the situation in the town of Bucha (Kiev Region) and related matters

I would like to present to you the real facts about Bucha.

During the time that the town has been under the control of the Russian armed forces, not a single local resident has suffered from any violent action.

For as long as the town was under the control of the Russian armed forces locals were moving freely around the town and using cellular phones. So they could post on social media any photo and video footage of any theoretical “harassment” if this were the case. However, that did not happen.

Let me address the developments in chronological order.

On March 30, following another round of talks in Ankara, Russian Ministry of Defense announced the withdrawal of forces from a number of regions, including Bucha.

That fact was confirmed the next day by the mayor of Bucha. In his video of March 31 Anatoly Fedoruk presented the withdrawal of Russian forces as a victory of Ukrainian Army. Interestingly, he had not mentioned any mass atrocities, dead bodies, killings, graves or anything like that. It is hard to imagine that a city mayor can “forget” to address such a devastating scenario.

Let me show you the video posted by Mr. Fedoruk. As you will see, he looks happy and smiling. It is hard to imagine that he is acting like this against the backdrop of “massacre” in the streets. That’s in Ukrainian, but as I said, he is very happy that Russian troops withdrew, which he regards as a great victory of the Ukrainian army. He makes no mentioning of any atrocities in the city.

This video was posted on “Ukraine 24” channel on the 1st of April. I would like to stress – nothing about “atrocities” was revealed on April 1st.

Let me also show a photo of Zhan Belenyuk, a deputy of the Ukrainian parliament, who, according to his reports in social media, visited Bucha after regaining control by the Ukrainian government. As you can see, he is also smiling. He is joyful. In his reports he mentions no dead bodies. Not a single reference to “atrocities”.

On April 2nd the National Guard of Ukraine posted on official resources a video from Bucha. Let me show you the footage. The video captures members of Ukrainian armed forces entering Bucha. The footage shows no dead bodies in the streets. The Ukrainian military interviewed several people in different locations across the town. None of them said a word about any “massacre” or mass killings. Camera also captures background behind these people, with no dead bodies in sight.

To sum it up, there are no reports of atrocities which are accredited to the Russian military in Bucha, which happened before the Ukrainian army took control of the town. Four days after the Russian military left the city of Bucha there was not a single sign of any “atrocities”. I repeat – not a single reference to it, anywhere.

The infamous video depicting bodies on the city roads only appeared on April 3rd. It is full of discrepancies and blatant lies. According to its authors, the bodies were lying on the streets for at least 4 days by the time the video was filmed. However, the bodies are not stiffened. How is that possible? It is against the law of biology. The bodies do not have signs of decomposition known to forensic experts, including cadaver stains. The wounds contain no blood.

Another point illustrating that this video is fake.

The Ukrainian forces use either blue or yellow armlets or stripes. Because members of Ukrainian militia do not always wear military uniforms, local civilians in Bucha wore white stripes on their upper arms when the Russian forces were stationed in Bucha. That was done to prevent misidentification of civilians from members of militia. When the Ukrainian forces entered the town, they fired at the people with white stripes, killing the civilians. There is a video showing a conversation between members of Ukrainian units. It was published in social media by the so-called “territorial defense” – a radical nationalist fighting group. One of the radicals asks if he can shoot at the people without blue stripes. The other confirms that this is permissible.

Russian speakers know that, but let me translate for the rest of you:

Question behind the scene – «There are folks without blue bands, can I shoot them?»

Answer: «Of course».

I hope the evidence we demonstrated today leaves you with no illusion that the video circulated by the Kiev regime is a crude forgery. It does not stand any scrutiny.

Viktor Orban, Hungary's authoritarian leader, calls Zelensky an 'opponent' after winning reelection

Orban faced a more organized opposition campaign than in previous polls, but his Fidesz party nonetheless won comfortably across much of the country. Opposition leader Peter Marki-Zay even failed to win in his own district, where he had served as mayor.

"We have such a victory it can be seen from the moon, but it's sure that it can be seen from Brussels," Orban said in his speech on Sunday night, making light of his government's long-running tensions with EU leaders.

"We will remember this victory until the end of our lives because we had to fight against a huge amount of opponents," Orban said, citing a number of his political enemies including the Hungarian left, "bureaucrats" in Brussels, the international media, "and the Ukrainian president too -- we never had so many opponents at the same time."

The results indicate that Fidesz will hold 135 seats in Hungary's 199-seat parliament, meaning Orban would retain a two-thirds majority that will allow him to enact further changes to Hungary's constitution.

The far-right, anti-vaccine party Our Homeland also made it to Parliament, winning seven seats in a strong showing.

The least discussed aspect of Hungary's success is the takeover of state media. Orban threw out the leftists in state media and replaced them with rightists, and the result is a generation of political dominance.

Politics is manufactured. The "right" in most of the West is leftist, or "cucked" by liberal ideas. Orban sees reality clearly. Most people are NPCs programmed by the media. Change media programming from globalist/leftist to nationalist/rightist and candidates and the entire culture can do a 180 degree flip. When you understand this, then all the panic over the Internet and censorship makes sense. Power isn't distributed via open debate, it is held by undemocratic control over information. To win, one must take control.

In this narrow sense of strategic and tactical use of power, Hungary under Orban is "rightly" targeted for destruction by the globalist ruling class. Orban shows how they can be erased from power. One can say their tactics are good or bad, but in an amoral sense of wielding power, they have correctly identified a grave threat. That they resort to lies and bullying shows their ability to debate has completely atrophied under their rule. They are scared of Orban because he is accruing power. The balance of power is shifting. In this context, the panic over Trump also makes sense. Imagine an American President who understands what I have written here decided he would translate Orban's success in Hungary into the United States. The result would be the current ruling class collapses faster than the Soviet Union.

Kinross Gold Corporation (TSX:K; NYSE:KGC) (“Kinross” and the “Company”) is deeply concerned about the loss of life and destruction in Ukraine and wishes to express its sympathy and support for the people who are suffering because of this tragic situation.

The Company today is announcing a donation of $1,000,000 to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal to assist those people most in need. Kinross is hopeful for a peaceful and diplomatic solution in Ukraine.

The Company is suspending all activities at its Udinsk development project. The Company is also in the process of suspending operations at its Kupol mine, with the focus on the safety and well-being of its more than 2,000 employees and in recognition of its obligations to manage and mitigate the mine's environmental impact on an ongoing basis.

The Company intends to adhere to all sanctions and legal restrictions that have, or will be, announced by relevant governments.

Everyone who signed off on this decision should be fired from the company. Donating to the Red Cross is fine, but shutting the mine is not acceptable behavior. Companies should not be invovled in politics. If management wants to virtue signal, they should have resigned en masse and said they cannot in good conscience work for a company operating in Russia. Instead, they have trashed the value of their Russian assets. I doubt the courts would be amenable, but I'd love to see a shareholder lawsuit target all of the management and board with personal lawsuits to clawback any future losses.

With this management, the company is done in Russia. They will be lucky to sell the mine at a good price because they cannot go back to normal. This mine will probably be targeted for environmental or labor violations. It is an impaired asset under current Kinross management and every potential buyer knows it.

That said, I wouldn't sell today. "The market" doesn't think ahead like that. They will restart the mine as soon as there's a permanent ceasefire or peace agreement because at that point, they will be in clear violation of their legal obligations to shareholders. Plus I expect gold will rebound. Longer-term though, I wouldn't stick around. Plenty of other mining stocks with better upside.

Companies should stick to doing business and not play politics. I don't think the management is necessarily "woke" in their beliefs, but their behavior is "woke" in the sense of destroying corporate value in pursuit of political or ideological goals, or in this case the moral vanity of the management.

At this point, many companies are engaged in reckless ideological games. BigTech is cruising for complete destruction with their political interference in elections and violating fundamental rights such as freedom of speech. Disney has no trouble doing business with autocratic and repressive regimes, but they go all out against a bill protecting children from sexual abuse in Florida. Many major companies are beyond saving if the political winds suddenly change because they have thrown caution to the wind and expressly chosen one side over another. Managements will be crucified by their shareholders if unrecoverable losses start piling up. Lest it be forgotten, or if you didn't know:

Russia Intensifying Attacks Signals Peace is Coming

Have you seen headlines about the war in Ukraine going badly for Russia and peace talks going backward because Russia is escalating? About that.

December 18, 1972: Nixon announces start of “Christmas Bombing” of North Vietnam

On December 13, peace talks between the United States and North Vietnam collapsed. The North Vietnamese and American negotiators traded charges and countercharges as to who was to blame. Infuriated, President Nixon ordered plans drawn up for retaliatory bombings of North Vietnam. Linebacker II was the result. Beginning on December 18, American B-52s and fighter-bombers dropped over 20,000 tons of bombs on the cities of Hanoi and Haiphong. The United States lost 15 of its giant B-52s and 11 other aircraft during the attacks. North Vietnam claimed that over 1,600 civilians were killed.

The bombings continued until December 29, at which time the North Vietnamese agreed to resume the talks. A few weeks later, the final Paris Peace Treaty was signed and the Vietnam War came to a close, ending the U.S. role in a conflict that seriously damaged the domestic Cold War consensus among the American public. The impact of the so-called “Christmas Bombings” on the final agreement was difficult to assess.

Nixon wanted peace. It took him 16 days to get it.

Nearly all Western media coverage of Ukraine is not only propaganda, but lies. Some propaganda has truth behind it, or is meant to heighten emotions. It is propaganda for either side of any issue to show a dead child, for example, but there may be a dead child. Western media coverage of the war approaches the level of "there is no child."

Intensifying the campaign going into peace talks is normal, particularly if one side is dragging their feet. I have seen no evidence of Russia being bogged down or suffering serious setbacks. They weren't as aggressive at first and focused on targeting the Ukraine military, in particularly the Nazi militias. Now a broader invasion is underway, with a more "normal" wartime attitude towards civilian causalities and infrastructure damage. I see no sign that peace is getting farther away. If anything, it looks like it's getting closer in part because Russia is completing its military objectives.

Big social media companies should be shut down. These firms become a big attractor for censors and tyrants. Decentralize social media and this cannot happen. Who watches the watchmen? The solution isn't relying on government or regulators, but on creating an ecosystem of small companies that provide niche markets. Will it stop tyrants? No, they have already gone after Gab. Parler was kicked off Amazon's servers. Alternatives must be built with the assumption that every possible attack vector will be used. This leads to high inflation and high costs, but there is no alterative. Irony of ironies: the amount of energy and resources consumed by creation of parallel economies from Russia to the dissident web in the West, will guarantee much higher CO2 emissions. Reducing economic growth and tightening control over the economy via government has always been the goal of the ruling class. The current crew would rather reign over Hell-on-Earth than serve in Heaven.

Hunch: War in Ukraine is Ending

The negotiations have begun. The negotiator says Ukraine will not give an inch of territory up, but this is an opening bargaining position. They've already agreed to neutrality. Now is a matter of details. From my view far away, I don't see why Ukraine wants Russian-dominated areas that they are warring with. Nor does Russia want Western Ukraine that would war with it. They will find a way to meet in middle as long as the U.S. isn't prodding Ukraine into extending the war. The U.S. has already caused death and destruction though, and shows no remorse over using Ukraine like a disposable puppet. The Polish nailed the Baizuo too this week, offering all their MiG fighters to the U.S. via the Rammstein airbase in Germany. The U.S. refused the planes, revealing this has all been a scam all along. There is no help coming for Ukraine. They were hung out to dry as part of a USG-led plot for pushing Russia out, maybe a gambit to weaken Russia-China ties by hurting Russia enough to make them a weak partner, or to scare China out of doing anything with Taiwan. Also, it may have been a way to break Europe off Russian energy. Whatever the reasons, it should be plain to Zelensky that his only move is ending violence and salvaging what is left of the nation he destroyed by taking part in a USG scheme.

Hours later, US Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland told Sen. Marco Rubio during a hearing that the labs do indeed exist, and must be protected from Russia - which, as Rubio suggested - may stage a biological or chemical false flag attack that they blame on Ukraine.

"Ukraine has biological research facilities, which, in fact, we are now quite concerned Russian troops, Russian forces may be seeking to gain control of. So we are working with the Ukrainians on how they can prevent any of those research materials from falling into the hands of Russian forces should they approach."

Rubio responded - "I'm sure you're aware that the Russian propaganda groups are already putting out there all kinds of information about how they've uncovered a plot by the Ukrainians to release biological weapons in the country and with NATO's coordination. If there's a biological or chemical weapon incident or attack inside of Ukraine, is there any doubt in your mind that 100% it would be the Russians that would be behind it?"

To which Nuland replied: "There is no doubt in my mind Senator, and it is classic Russian technique to blame on the other guy what they're planning to do themselves."

"We have no bioweapons labs in Ukraine. But if there was a biological attack from one of our biolabs, it's the Russians that done it. Of this you can be sure." A Ukrainian peace negotiator has been shot dead ahead of the latest round of talks to end the war amid claims he was a Russian spy.

Ukraine's Ministry of Defence said Denis Kireev, 45, was a spy and former banker who was killed during an operation to 'defend the nation'.

After his death, the government hailed him as a 'hero' but MPs claimed he was shot and killed by Ukraine's security service after resisting arrest on suspicion of 'treason'.
