Zhengzhou Sees Homebuying Surge

Zhengzhou, Henan saw a surge in home buying this week and following the Qing Ming Festival, government offices were clogged with people registering their transactions. One example provided by the reporter: a development which was selling for a 1-2% discount before the Qing Ming Festival switched to a 1-2% premium for the holiday. One official from the Housing Dept said many developers raised prices or canceled discounts during the holiday.
