Time to Short Utilities?

Utilities are my white whale. The options are perennially cheap because nobody ever expect a utilities sell-off, but timing is difficult because utilities are defensive and will hold up longer than expected. Going out in time works, but then the profit potential goes down as the premium goes up. If you can time it right with near-term options though...
