Bloomberg: Copper Price May Gain by a Third on China Demand, Chile Says
Chile, the world’s biggest copper producer, expects prices to increase by about a third over the long term because of rising demand from China, the top consumer.Copper traded one-third higher a year ago, but it won't get back there until 2018...perhaps it will gain much more than 30 percent from the low...
Copper may average $6,330 a metric ton after 2018, Sergio Hernandez, executive vice president of the Chilean Copper Commission, or Cochilco, told reporters in Perth Tuesday.
