The BLS will change the definition of inflation next year based on consumer expenditures from 2019 to 2020. They're going to use a pandemic year of lockdowns to base their inflation basket off. Talk about high statisical crimes. There can be no doubt the criminally corrupt ruling class in Washington will turn the BLS into a political weapon as they have the FBI and DOJ. Prepare to find alternative measures of inflation because the government will be lying more than ever about it next year. The only solution for the people this time, with the Fed intervening in bond markets, may be to become crude oil vigilantes. Gasoline prices seem to be the number ordinary Americans pay attention to most. Turning inflation into a weapon against the government may require aggressively bidding crude moving forward, should the Federal Reserve resume QE or USG pass another "stimulus" plan into law.
